Well its been a few months now since I've been in Shreveport/bossier city. Me and the wife got a house on Barksdale AFB. I purchased the app run good to keep track of my poker profits/losses and have been enjoying the features. I will be keeping track of all my poker from the time I have gotten to Louisiana and will continue.
I took a trip home to Mississippi to play in one of the WSOP circuit events, and play some cash. Thanks to my Aunt I got a free 2 nights in the IP casino (Thursday and Friday). My cousin came and met me at the casino as well as aunt and uncle (haven't seen them in 3 years). We played blackjack and drink the free drinks all night. My cousin hit the bonus for 1300 dollars which was an awesome time.
I made it to the poker table at 11:56 Thursday night after the family left. I played until 3:35 AM getting way to drunk, but having a good time. Won 563 profit playing 1/3 no limit hold em. Next day without enough sleep I played in the 365 buy in 200k guarantee that started at 11:00. I was knocked out before the first break, I had AKss under the gun and check raised ug+1 to 4500 with an 18000 dollar stack, he had me covered. Blinds were 200 and 400. flop was JsQs9h. I bet out 9000 and he went all in, I called. He flipped over JJ and I missed everything on turn and river. My biggest problem with tournaments is I need more patience (sleep wouldn't hurt either). So I went to the pool for a couple of hours had some pina-coladas and then went up to the room for a nap. Woke up and started playing poker at 5:03PM and played till 4:03 am winning a profit of 275. Spent the next day with Parents and sister before heading back to Barksdale.
Will update how poker has been going here in Shreveport/bossier in the next blog. I will ty to continue to post more now that I am getting settled in.
