As I am getting ready for the move to Shreveport, I am trying to get some play time in while I am still in Rosamond, Ca. I was able to get a 3 1/2 hour session in last night. While getting put on the 1-2 list I sat at a 4-8 Omaha 8 high table. I don't generally play Omaha, but will if there is a seat open while I wait for my holdem seat. Lost $22 before moving to 1-2. When I got to 1-2 there were some decent stacks and the table seemed to be having good. I sat to the left of one of the regulars that loves to call anything Pre and continue even if he only hits bottom pair. Everyone else at the table seems like the normal loose calling stations.

1-2 buy in 40-100

First big hand I play is after sitting for about 5 hands. I am in the small blind with a 106 stack. The pot is straddled and 2 MP calls, button calls. I raise to 25 with AhKd. The straddle a loose player and the button that I already mentioned about calling anything and continuing with any pair.
Pot (80) Flop AdJc3d and I lead out with 45 dollars.( Should I have just shoved. I really wanted them to call knowing they couldn't fold the river for the remaining of my stack.) Straddle folds button calls.
Pot (170) Turn Js (and I am thinking that this is definitely Villians card but if he bets I am not folding. There are a lot of hands he could have that doesn't have a J that he is not folding.) So I put my last 36 into the middle and he calls. River is 7c
Villian tables Jh5h and I rebuy for $100 thinking to myself this will be a good night if I can catch some cards.

Very next hand still a little steaming. I have 100 and V has 500

The $4 straddle is on again. UG limps with 4 others. I look down at AKo on the button and raise it up to $30 UG calls everyone else folds. Pot (80) Flop 79Tr and UG donk bets $25. ( I take this as a weak blocking bet and still steaming I am not sure what he could possibly have, but I know I probably have outs even if he hit the Ten.) I shove the rest of my stack in and he folds.

Very next had In the cut off

HiJack limps for 2 and I raise to 9. SB and HJ call Pot (27) Flop 8d7d7h checks to me and I bet 13 and SB calls. Turn (53) 4h SB checks and I bet 15 and get called. River (83) Ac and I bet 20 SB folds

The last hand I want to mention came up later that night and Just make me think these players are playing awful with there short stacks. Stacks: straddle(120) MP(85)B(350)Hero(190)

$4 straddle is on and 4 limps to me in the SB. I look down at KcKs (and think finally my chance) I raise to 31 and get called by Straddle, MP, and B Pot (125) Flop 6s7s3c I move all in for 159 and Straddle insta shoves for his last $89. Button thinks for ever, remember I told you he hates folding any pair. He shows me Q7 and is literally thinking of calling. He finally folds. Turn Jd River 5s (I am thinking wow that 5s completed all the straddles draws, but he says I didn't get there) My KK takes down the pot.

Well made 220 on the night and feeling a little better since I was told by the mechanic it would be 1800 dollars to get my trucks AC and instrument cluster fixed. I am only getting it done, since I will be going across country with the wife and cats. Hopefully I get to study and then go play again next weekend. Not sure I will have time seeing that we are moving first week of August. I can't wait to play poker in Shreveport, and I hope the buy ins are bigger, even though I am not use to that play.

Who I am

I am a military member who loves to play poker. I have decided that I would write about my adventures in life and poker. I will be blogging my poker bankroll and when I win or lose. Right now I live in California, but am PCSing to Shreveport. In Shreveport I plan to build my bankroll to 20,000 dollars over the next 3 years. I do not get to play poker all the time but, I am serious when I play. My bankroll right now is 4,000 dollars. I will continue to play in Cali until I leave.

This is my first writing and not sure on what to say, but we will see how it goes. I will post bankroll and hand history here when I play and when I can. So follow and let me know if you like or do not like my blog. Throw ideas out about what you would to hear about. I am excited about the move and should be there sometime in august. I am a 1-2 player and would like it if anyone has any info on how the games are out in Shreveport.
